It wouldn't be Stuck: The Web Series without beautiful camera work and well balanced writing. After the pseudo-finale was screened at the Alamo Drafthouse, I was concerned with how exactly they were going to wrap up the story after THAT ENDING. But my fears were laid to rest and I soon found comfort and closure.
When a show has a strong and relatable cast it's easy to engage and empathize with the characters; this characteristic has been prevalent since the show's inception. It makes an episode like this, where every storyline collides, more impactful for the viewer. Couple those elements with beautiful music from local Nebraskan musicians and you have yourself a treat.
At the start of the season, I was sure that we wouldn't see much progression in terms of storytelling but Season 2 exceeded expectations: review here. And from the looks of it, Season 3 will go further; pushing the boundaries of what is known within the character's lives. Rob will be forced to do something that he has struggled with for a while now. He still hasn't even figured how to cope with his childhood. Ariel will have trouble coping with the situation after her struggle from the beginning of this season. Finn is not only completely on his own, but may take matters into his own (bloody) hands.
Death doesn't always have to mean sadness; life can be celebrated. Even with a tragedy as great as this one, the characters found a way to make the best of their situations. That's a life lesson we could all look towards. While the events of the previous episode are painful, the show's storylines come full-circle and conclude in a satisfying way. It'll be interesting to see how certain characters move forward and what this will mean for certain relationships: will there be conflict?
If you haven't watched the latest season of Stuck: The Webseries, what are you even doing? Watch it here for free. The show's creator, Faustus McGreeves, has created a GoFundMe page for the show's third season and I encourage you to donate to help him create even more content (16 episodes) for the last outing with these wonderful characters.
