There are not enough complimentary things that can be said about the innovative short that is Total Performance. The concept behind this film is a breath of fresh air.
The story follows Cori (Tory Berner), an actress who juggles auditions with her full time job: helping clients through difficult conversations. Whether it is firing an employee or serving a spouse with divorce papers, Cori acts as a blank mold for her clients to vent their frustrations on. When her personal life crosses over into her professional world, things go sideways.
Tory Berner is a force to be reckoned with and her on screen chemistry with Tim Madsen (Steven Conroy) weaves a fabulous web of polar opposites. Director and writer, Sean Meehan didn't hold back and it really paid off. The use of different lighting all throughout the 17 minute run time enhanced each scene and made transition from moment to moment absolutely flawless.
Make time to watch this short. It's well worth it.
